are those recycled pvc bone lamps lit by kryptonite?!? That price is unbelievable for something recycled and "sustainable"...high design or not...feels to me its just more high and mighty.

Since my wallet belongs in the Ikea/salvage/garage sale demographic, I personally look to these sort of beautiful high design items as inspiration rather than points of aspiration. I could imagine with a bit of experimentation and some handy tools, someone could make their own version of this lamp on the cheap (Home Depot chic); I'm planning a similar project for a "high design" chandelier using affordable components, but mimicking an expensive form factor. We don't always have to purchase our dreams :)
