What is your one favorite element in your small, cool home? One favorite element of my home would have to be the curtainless floor to ceiling windows spanning across one side of my apartment, where I can wake up and look out onto the beach.

What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your small home? One of the challenges was finding the most creative way to use all of the available space. I have everything I need and it is all tucked away, and even though it is a small space it still remains clean and clutter free. Using smaller appliances has helped for the kitchen and laundry while keeping most of the furniture large has helped to make the space feel bigger than what it actually is.

Beautiful but some of the pictures are really dark. Strangely, the one with the floor-to-ceiling windows is worst of all.

Wow - I could date a guy with a place like that!

The bedroom paint is semi-gloss white - the shadows created by the lighting create the texture/patterns.
Sorry about the dark pic - there was a terrible storm brewing outside and my photography skills arn't the best.
Yes, it's a Chandelier with a dark string shade around it.
And it's in Surfers Paradise :)

Nat Z., you have a great place and it deserves to appear in the best possible light (pun intended). You should see if AT will let you resubmit a couple of photos if you have a nicer day between now and the end of the entry period.

Hi Nat z, Where did you buy the chandelier light from?
view SAG's profile
I think you can buy the same one, or very similar from shopwildthings.com.
I love it too!

I love the sexy touches of black all over this home. I wish I could execute that as well in my home.

Very beautiful, love the chandelier. I don't like the tiles on the floor too much but the rest is gorgeous. Congratulations!

I really like the bedroom picture, with the white/dark contrast.

i second all the "love the chandelier" comments. it looks fantastic. it enhances the "classy" without seeming too classy.

I love how the kitchen feels very lived in for a Gold Coast apartment, but what is with the very ordinary floor tiles that these apartments come with...durable sure but so blah. Good luck in the comp.

Very masculine and swank place. Living room looks unfinished without a rug though. This is a great start. With more lighting and other touches- this could be great and achieve that boutique hotel feel.
