Have you ever cooked dinner and ran out of counter top space in the middle of your prep? Too much stuff, not enough space? Try a folding island.

We spotted this neat space saving design and wanted to share it with the Apartment Therapy community. Since smaller homes require creative, resourceful, even clever methods of thinking, the look and actions of this folding island easily can be a nice addition. Aside from the storage space, it even has two shelves that fold or unfold easily. All of the models come fully assembled and can fold to just a 5" thin profile. I really like this one, and if my kitchen weren't so small that I don't have room for it folded up, I get one.

I don't mean to sound grouchy, but I went to the website for this folding island (I need to buy a wedding present), and if they can't publish a price, then I can't buy from them.

I love the folding island idea. Since there's no pricing I can't be sure, but my guess is if I could afford it I could probably afford to live in a place with a spacious enough kitchen.
