Grass fed up in New Hampshire, Garnet Hill used to be much more distinctive than it now is, offering only natural fiber bedding and clothing with a slightly European edge.
In the past five years, it has grown and, now, far too closely resembles a host of other catalog sources.
Nevertheless, it is still a good place to check in when looking for high quality natural fiber sheets, towels, duvets, blankets and even rugs.
We like their cozy collection of wool, alpaca and cotton blankets ($60-$130), their Flannel Bedding ($30-$120), and their boiled wool slippers ($48) for tromping around the house.

Garnet Hill ROCKS. My latest (of many) obsessions from Garnet Hill is their hem-stitched flannel sheeting in Ochre. (similar to the color of the third blanket down in the first pick above). It is an AMAZING color that is warm and electric but relaxing like warm butterscotch all at the same time. Not QUITE sure Ochre is the best name for it, but it is gor-geous.
And unless you are used to shopping only at bargain-basement White Sales, I don't think the sticker shock is that severe at GH...
