In a recent Atomic Ranch magazine, I spied an ad for Textile Arts, an online store that sells fabrics
from Europe to customers in the US. They feature lines from Marimekko and Ljunbergs, and offer designs from mid century modern to today's contemporary Scandinavian designs in sheers, cotton, and even upholstery weight fabrics. Clicking through the site, we loved that they sold canvas wall art kits, (some of the designs we've seen only in vintage stores) in a variety of styles. We especially liked this tree scenic (shown after the jump). They also carry bags, accessories, pillows, and other gifts, including postcards, and magnets. Has anyone ever shopped here? We'd love to know your experiences...

I got a panel of the tuuli (the tree print you posted) and made it into a wall hanging for my office. My husband actually ordered the fabric for me as a gift, but as far as I know, he had no problem with the transaction. It made a great looking and affordable piece of art.
To clarify, it was ordered from Textile Arts.
I have so many Textile Arts items bookmarked for future (or dream) purchase! I know one person who has ordered from them and she seemed quite happy with the order.
I love the tuuli print! What would be the best way to make this into a wall hanging? I wouldn't know how to work with something so large... did you make a wooden frame to stretch it over?
I've ordered pillow covers and dish towels from these folks, and was very happy with the service and delivery. It seemed quite personal. Such beautiful patterns! I love seeing Marimekko beyond the ubiquituous poppies.

I went to the art supply store and purchased some stretcher bars, then stapled the fabric to the back. I think there were instructions somewhere on this site . . .
Here they are:

Have fun!
Many successful purchases with them! I recommend!
