Free Decorating Class: Your Local Pottery Barn

Besides the class already being free--class participants receive 10% off items featured in the decorating class. Also keep in mind that you may learn just as much from your neighbor in class. Oftentimes when we're in a learning environment, a classmates' experience or speaking with the instructor after class yields useful information to take home. I spend a lot of time trying to get the middle-of-the-road, designed-for-yesterday images promoted by Pottery Barn out of my head.
I would rather pin lace doilies to the top of my couch than show up at a Pottery Barn decorating class.
Paying 90% of what you wouldn't have spent if you had better judgment and didn't fall prey to mass market purchasing guidance is not being thrifty and creative. It's being a suggestible drone.
