Although I'd driven by the store numerous times and admired their windows, it wasn't until this past week that I discovered why they're so popular among set decorators, production designers and interior decorators. I carted my bedroom lamp over to them, expecting to be lampless for the weekend. I set down the lamp and wandered away to take a look at a lamp that had caught my eye. Before I was halfway through the three room store, my lamp was fixed and ready to go, the cord neatly coiled as if it'd just come out of the box. And the charge was much less than I'd expected.
