We have walked by the Mi Alma lighting store in the Sunset junction a million times and never thought to walk in. From what we could see in the window, the overly decorated lampshades looked a little too Stevie Nicks for our taste.

However, it seems that sometimes you can't judge a store by its window. While the styles on these beautifully hand made shades are specific, they can be custom-made to any shape with any fabric, and that just thrills us.

Be warned: They don't come cheap. Prices vary greatly depending on materials. We were told that the prices are lower in the store than on the site.

Maybe upwards of $300.00 is a lot for a shade, but you pay for custom, people, so check it out.
