Which would you like for Xmas? Thanks so much to everyone who submitted designs for our next T-Shirt! We received many amazing designs and picked those we felt would print well and which would be the strongest to run before the crowd. Now we'd like to see which one you feel should be printed.
Remember, we're looking for a design that:
1. is visually striking
2. communicates AT's vibe
3. would be a hot seller
Some of the designs here are more detailed than others, so we are also open to suggestions as to the color of the t-shirt or ink color where it might be unspecified. We'll take all your comments and come up with a winner which we'll send off to our print shop on Monday so that we can get these back before Xmas.

1. Brianna D. of ideadujour

2. Marilyn & Peter from f2.cc

3. Kael H.

4. Jashiki - - the transformation of the 8 Step Home Cure

5. Joel & Maria P. of blueantstudio - Front reads:
"Modernista" (in th Metallica font)
Subtitle: "Seek and restore"
There's a Metallica album called "Seek and destroy" I choose restore as that's what we have to do on everyday basis: restore!
The back reads: Apartment Therapy ROCKS! To tie the theme together.

6. Jashiki

7. Manuela H. - These entries are all based on an abstracted AT Squiggle. They are variants of each other. The second adds the "drip" that you might find in the AT Squiggle art work, to the back of the shirt as a little extra surprise.

8. Manuela H. - It is the AT sguiggle in perspective and with the signature drip which I think is a nice detail.

9. Michael P. - Ideas from the 8 Step Home Cure. NOTE: This should say "space" instead of "house" in the tag line and the second part of the sentence should be on the back with the AT Lines above and below...

I vote for #6, by Jashiki. I like the deep blue color, and though you could use that for any of the designs, it works well here. Simplicity is good. I like the minimal blurry squiggle. It's the only shirt I would actually wear. I like that the #1 design incorporates an iconic piece of modern design, but I wouldn't wear it.
I must say I I liked the Urban Craft Uprising logo on your San Francisco page better than these designs. It's fun, and it immediately, intuitively conveys what it's about. When it comes to branding, that can be a good thing.
Love your site.
7/8 are awesome. they successfully brand apartment therapy but aren't too blatant about it. they are abstract enough to be interesting for anyone to wear i think.
and in terms of criteria:
1. is visually striking --> yes, nice graphics
2. communicates AT's vibe --> clean, includes the brand/icon squiggle thing
3. would be a hot seller --> yes, so wearable
not so sure about the drip though?
i like both of jashiki's designs. they just communicate AT's vibe better than the rest--without being overbearing.
(i do also like 7, but it wouldn't give you much brand recognition, since the name isn't anywhere on the shirt).
I hate logos. Really. A lot. In order to motivate me to buy a shirt that will effectively advertise for somebody else, the shirt has to do at least some of the following:
1. be clever or interesting
2. communicate more than just "buy (into) me"
3. not mark me as elite, street, or ironic by association.
I doubt the last one is really that much an issue with AT--
On that note, I really love #4 and #1. They give context to the site and AT brand without appearing cluttered. Visually interesting and not dated to a particular current or past fashion/icon trend. Clean and classic. Modern.
