InStyle magazine recently ran a feature spotlighting celebrity closets that are bigger than most of our Smallest Coolest entries! But let's look beyond the designer duds and extra square footage and focus on the style. Take the survey after the jump!

I choose E. None of the Above. They all look awful to me.

I'm with Daily Nuance. Please let's not head down the celebrity-interest path!

I find this very disturbing - so much stuff for one person???
I chose E. as well

Now I know, there IS such a thing as too many shoes.

E. Gallivant, I agree with you. It dismays me.

E -- just like everyone else I know.
this post, and the idea of aspiring to owning something like this (which is what InStyle is all about) is deeply disturbing...

Before reading any other comments, I was so disgusted I found it difficult to even form an opinion about this...now, I'll just have to jump on the wagon and say "E".

I chose C since it's the closest to my style (tho if I wore red highheeled shoes, the folks in the office would have a field day with me...)

Not big on the cheetah rug, but I like the way Kimora's closet has a certain messiness that conceals quite a bit of order. (Unlike my closet. Or my entire apartment. In which the messiness conceals just about everything. Not sure this is the best blog to admit that.) The others feel like fancy store displays, and this one is definitely a closet.

it hurt me to vote for Kimora but hers is the only warm, eclectic one. the style of her closet is exactly what i hate about her personal style.
go figure.

Mariah Carey makes me sick, even more so after seeing her closet. Ugh!

I agree with lilithslair. I know they are celebrities, and I know we are supposed to be focusing on the style, however I find it hard to get over the sickness I feel looking at such consumption.

I saw Mariah's closet on an episode of Cribs, and it's obscene. More clothes and shoes and lingerie than she could possibly wear in several lifetimes. Plus, the "diva-esque" decor is revolting. Get over yourself Mariah!

My first thought was Gross None. I have no desire to aspire to be a sad celebrity. Thanks but no. I agree with Heather - please let's not go down the celebrity-interest path.

I picked D.

i chose c. looking at it with a design eye (this is a design website, no?) it's the most organized and pleasing. sure these girls have too much junk, but i'd take that beautiful wood floor and the trimed out door in my home anyday!

who needs books to fill up those library shelves when you have shoes, right, girls?
ugh.

When will Mariah ever get lost, she is such a joke. Celebrities already get enough undeserving attention. So, AT, stick with focusing on the normal everyday people of society. Cool?

I actually love this poll. I think a person's closet says a lot about them and I dream of having a nice walk in someday that looks exactly like Nikki Hilton's.

Consumption and ego run amok.

so much for looking beyond the size and designer duds...
nicky hilton's is pretty cool, especially if those are glass doors i see.

And the difference between Kimora Lee and Mariah Carey would be ___????? They're both equal parts girly, vulgar, tacky and shameless.

I can't quite tell who is more tacky, that trash rag "In Style" or these ladies who cannot discretely decline an impertinent request to look into their closets. Its fine to have these palatial dust-bins, but to show them off?
I agree with the many who have suggested that AT avoid celebrities, and Hollywood glitz.

E. From the design point of view, just none of them fit my style regardless of whose house they are in. Too many different elements, I prefer cleaner lines.

oh, get over yourselves with your "E" votes. Even if you have a small closet, wouldn't it be nice to make it special and luxurious, or do you keep you clothes in a trash can? I too loathe obscene overconsumption, but can you blame them for wanting nice digs for their clothes? and moreover, I doubt the point of this post was to encourage anyone to model their life after any of these celebutards - just have some fun.

I picked D myself, before I realized it was Eva Longoria. I would definitely have picked D if I had noticed that before. ;-)
Seriously, it seems reasonably well organized and smallish compared to the others. But then I realized that dust really would get all over everything -- you need doors on these things, so maybe C would be a bit more practical on that side.
However, bepsf is wrong -- those aren't red high-heeled shoes, those are Red Spike Pumps. I almost want to call them "Hooker Red Spike Pumps", but then we all know what kind of person is wearing them.
Overall, I have to agree with most of the other commenters -- let's leave the celebrities and their conspicuous consumption out of this site.
