Using Luggage For Home Design

081108_luggage01.jpgAs we continue Getaway month at Apartment Therapy, we’ve been checking out some great luggage finds - especially lingering over vintage pieces and steamer trunks. With the wonderful condition thees pieces can be found in these days, why not consider luggage as furniture?

Most pieces of luggage can be turned into a home accent. There are such great fabrics and designs, showcasing luggage as part of you home decor (instead of hiding it just in a closet) is a stylish and functional idea. With a creative mind and a bit of DIY, you can create a side table, coffee table, entrance table, you name it!

Use your stylish soft luggage as a side table by taking wooden boards and a tray to create a structure for the pieces. (via House Beautiful)
