Bulego Desk by Abad Diseno

111008Bulego01.jpgThe Bulego Desk by Abad Diseno looks like something straight out the movie Gattaca, with a slim angled, scissor-style profile that would give Kate Moss a run for her money during the peak of her modeling days. We love how the angled leg provides an additional surface area ontop for accessories, monitor, a library of small books, or whatever else you find ontop of your desk (though with such a minimal-modern form, one would be best to keep the desk fairly bare of clutter). A few more images below the jump of this beauty...

111008Bulego03.jpgThe Bulego Desk by Abad Diseno for Nueva Linea is available for about the same price it would cost us to hire Kate Moss to model for us: $3027. But just like super models out of our league, it doesn't stop us from looking.

the write-up makes the desk sound cooler than it is...

the woodgrain finish is acutally not very hot...

though if it packs flat like it looks like it might, that would be cooler...

Geex - for that much money I'd rather get a vintage Mahogany Chippendale Secretary with tons of character and storage....

...and go on a vacation.

I like it, but there's no storage, and if you add a rolling cubby, you sort of destroy the whole aesthetic. And $3000 gets Kate Moss for about 15 minutes.

Every time you pull your chair up to the desk to type on your keyboard, you're going to hit the front of that bottom bar. You'll constantly be kicking it. Note how far away from the desk the chair is in the above photo.

It sure is beautiful, but this is a classic example of form over function.
