Doca Autunno Flatpack Table

aplusrflatpack.jpg
Cardboard flatpack furnishings are super hot right now. Easy to ship, affordable, and recyclable, it's not wonder designers like RS Miranda are creating furnishings like this Doca Autunno Flatpack Table. You can even stack these tables up and create a graphic bookshelf that I'd bet are much stronger than those flimsy bookcases from IKEA. 100% recyclable and biodegradable, and offered at a very friendly $65 price tag from Silver Lake retailer A+R.

I wonder if you could use these as seating? Could it handle the weight of a person?

What's with the Ikea bashing? And do you really think carboard tables stacked up on eachother would be more stable than a Billy Bookcase?

I guess they're cute, temporary solution to a "coffee talbe dilemma," but they're just as disposable (maybe even moreso) as something from a Target or Wal-Mart. I guess the eco-friendly slant is where the appeal lies(?).

Re: "The bookcase would cost $910.00! yikes."

Yeah, but it would be a 22.5" deep, almost 6' wide, over 8' tall bookcase...actually more of a room divider since it's double sided.

Okay, I'm not sure I'd want a ~$1K gigantic cardboard room divider, either.
