We have a thing for a good rolling cart. Sure it's good for the kitchen, but it's also a great accent piece in a living room, because it allows for some good storage and display. Speaking of decent Ikea furniture, I saw this table in Emeryville and it looked great, assuming the weird attached tray thing is removable. I'd put it with some clean-lined chairs with skinny legs. The gap running down the middle reminds me of the De La Espada "Parallel" table. Alas, it is probably too long for many city apartments.
