There are some things that are aspirational. And then there are some things that are out of this world on the Richter Scale. Which is probably an apt turn of phrase to use when you consider the Meteor Table by Chista.

It's as if someone took our childhood obsession with the Planetarium, and of the giant rocks from galaxies far, far, away...and blew it up to monster-truck proportions. Natural teak root, cast entirely in bronze, we're not even sure if, at 750 pounds, our apartment could withstand the weight of it. How do they move it in? Of course, waiting six months for it, we'd have plenty of time to figure this out. And, who knows if we'd even be able to get one? After all, there's only 6 of them. What if someone jumped the line? But, then again, we'd need that time to gather up the $55,000 needed to purchase it. But hang on, six months from now would be...our birthday! Hmm...let's add it to our wish list and see who springs for it. Available at Vivre, hint, hint.

I saw it in person at their showroom last week, and trust me, it is a magnificent piece of furniture & art. Seriously, just stunning in person, this image doesn't do it justice.
