Squat Worktable

atla102507_squatwork.jpg

We like our furniture to multi-task, and Vessel's Squat Worktable is a master of hide 'n seek usability, whether you're planning to use it for dining, office work, playing chess or as an art/crafting surface. Routed slots on the sides and lower panels of the table keep any wires in check, and the table will be available in multiple colours. Available for pre-order here. Ooh! This is a really neat idea. I'm not 100% in love with the style, though, and I feel like AT has covered some other tables like this but I can't even think of what to look them up under. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

With small, every inch counts. Brilliant idea in any style. I wonder how many AP readers are thinking about how to hack their current tables? Is everyone's table to sleek for this? I know it would foul up some table's aesthetic as an awkward inconsistency. However, if you have an apron under the top, you may be good to go!
