Stella Table from Zuster

atla-041008-stella01.jpgDon’t you hate when you fall in love with someone geographically undesirable? As Gregory pointed out, it’s the same with furniture. We’re a little bit in love with this Stella table – made in Australia by Zuster. We don't mind their Bare chair either...

Small version
Founded by four sisters, whose family migrated to Australia from Holland in the 50s, Zuster, which means "sister" in Dutch, is a family business, employing the four sisters and their father. Committed to making fine wood furniture in service of the Australian environment, they've found success in bringing their simple European designs to their adopted homeland. We can see how it works well for the wide open spaces of Australia; we think it works equally well on this side of the globe.

Yes, immediately reminded me of my Paper Clip table that I love. Got mine long ago - aqua glass top with white legs - during the Knoll annual 50% sale and still love it...

the bottom reminds me of an eggbeater or the electrical mixers! but its pulled off well and would probably be as noticed in a kitchen, as it is on a bare white background. love that blue stained wall in the top pic, btw!
