Decor Trend: Decorative Balls

There is a trend brewing in homewares, decorative balls. We're not sure where it came from [could it be an evolution of the polka dot?] but we keep seeing them everywhere. Most notably over at CB2 there were balls for everyone [insert obvious joke here] pictured left the felt balls range from $1.95- $6.95 and come in swell colors.

Aluminum balls available in shiny and matte for $6.95-$7.95 which we saw about a month ago on the store review for Zschoche [theirs were stainless steel though] and least we forget the wire balls that are ever present in gardening, have also moved indoors. There is something about this set that reminds us of a Slinky.

All of the sets are really reasonably priced so you won't feel bad in 8-9 months when you are over the trend you can dispose at your will. As a fan of polka dots we're happy to see our favorite motif go 3-D.
