"Sola" Trivets by Maija Puoskari of JuJu Design Party

"C" it's simple! Featured in the October 2007 Wallpaper, we are loving these "Solo" Trivets by Maija Puoskari from the Finnish company, Juju Design Party. Apparently "juju" means "a clever trick or insight" and these trivets certainly meet that definition. Inspired by "the melodic water droplets as winter ice melts from birch branches" in Norway, it's made of white stoneware and oak or plywood. The outside can be removed for larger items, like serving plates, while the smaller inner circle is perfect for a coffee or teapot.

Unfortunately we're not sure if this is still in concept form, but the price is upon request, directly from Maija, at Juju Design Party. By the way, she has some other amazing work on the site, so check it out! (via Wallpaper mag)
