Topopware tableware collection

A view from above. If you've ever pretended that your pile of mashed potatoes and broccoli were mountains and trees, you might appreciate the Topoware tableware collection by Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino and Karola Torkos. Inspired by Google maps and topographic maps, they sought to "outline the dining experience."

The collection includes cups, plates, bowls, placemats, and a tablecloth that all have the graphic wavy lines meant to define different heights of a landscape in 2-dimensions. It was recently presented at the London Design Festival. Check out their website for more images and purchasing info. (Via Surface Magazine)
