Trace Of Time: Erase Your Appointments As They Happen

072109-traceoftime01.jpgDo you check the clock constantly? Do you like to map out your appointments for the day and then cross them off as they happen? Do you find great satisfaction in checking things off your list and starting with a clean slate in the morning? Then the Trace of Time clock was tailor-made for you...

Product designer Il Gu Cha had you in mind when he created his Trace of Time clock. Write your appointments on the clock's whiteboard face; the hour hand has an integrated eraser that sweeps them away so you can start the next day with a fresh clean slate. This is a "why didn't we think of that" that we could easily see as a DIY. Draw little pictures of various activities on the board to help teach your children the time.

The symbol at the 8:00 position is the logo for Pampers. A funny reminder to change your baby's diaper!

Cute idea, but seems like a disproportionate amount of work for its level of functionality

I love that! I'd be tempted to write really silly things on it.

It would be fun if you wrote down stuff like "grin a lot" "do a little dance" "hug a stuffed animal" and actually did those things with your child when the right time came. It would help them learn about time and give them some fun interludes to look forward to throughout the day. :)

Pampers logo, huh? We're a huggies house so that didn't register with me.

Could 8pm be business time?

i could only use this for frivolous or silly 'to do' items like modernests said...

what if I forget to look at the clock? then the item is erased and im spending the rest of the day frantically trying to remember what I forgot to do :(

you can make this pretty easily w/ some dry-erase lamination from Kinko's and a DIY clock set.. you could totally customize it to your living space.
