You know Giada de Laurentiis from her cooking show, "Everyday Italian," on the Food Network. Lately, however we've been obsessed with her other show, "Weekend Getaways with Giada de Laurentiis," a food and travellogue that takes the Food Network star to places that are perfect for a short escape...
From Santa Fe, where she rides the High Line and spins a clay pot to Vancouver, where she explores the Capilano Suspension Bridges north of the city to the Hamptons, where she spooks herself in Fairview Farms Corn Maze, we've started taking notes for places we've always wanted to explore but haven't yet had the chance to visit. And, of course, she also visits some great restaurants and food spots. If you're looking for a quick getaway that's filled with food and fun, put this show on your Tivo line-up. Cool! How much did the food network pay you for this ad?

How much do they pay Giada so she can go on vacation?

Ugh, I can't stand her. The only reason her cooking show is still on the air is so men can ogle her overexposed cleavage while she cooks!

Yeah, I am not a fan of hers either, but I would LOVE to have a job where I was paid to travel, Luuucky!

Don't be hating 'cause she's beautiful - this gay boy loves her and her "Everyday Italian" show.

You know, I agree. She is very pretty but MAN! There is just something really annoying about her. I cant watch it. haha

She's definitely cute (bless her huge forehead and smile), and obviously this is a great reason for her appeal. But she also has an obvious passion and zeal for food that's evident while she's cooking or eating; it's an expression other food lovers recognize as the "O-face".
I've got her to "oggle" and Emily enjoys the beefy pleasures of Michael Chiarello, so fair's fair.

My BF and I watch Everyday Italian, simply so we can mock the porno background music and the way Giada fakes an orgasm everytime whe tastes something.
It seems like the food network 'rewards' each of its stars with some kind of "You travel and we pay for it" show after a while, and it drives me nuts. I tune in to LEARN something: a new recipe, a new technique... and watching these folks jaunt around and eat at exotic or fun locales is not teaching me anything new. Thumbs down.

that is hysterical!

Totally agree with MelissaLeigh. Food Network gets a big, fat thumbs down from me for whoring out all of their celebuchefs. I stopped watching it when it stopped being about food and started being about who's the new Food Network "face."

I love Chiarello's kitchen but he's annoying too.

She's extremely annoying. Nothing but a shirt full of cleavage and a mouth full of teeth. 'Some' good recipes, though.

I had Giada once, but my doctor gave me some antibiotics and I got over it.

When she went to Chicago, she went to Pizzaria Uno. When she went to London, she went to Gordon Ramsay's restaurant for fish and chips. What? The cleavage makes up for it though, it's mesmerizing.

At least she's not Rachael Ray.

I have to disagree. She speaks Italian, she's had her own catering business, her recipes are easy, fresh and really good. I don't think she's just there for eye candy, and besides: I'd rather watch someone good looking on T.V. anyway. She looks like she enjoys what she does, is that such a crime?

The giant head and stubby arms...she's like a bratz doll come to life.
