The Nomad Tent by Stephanie Smith

atla-073108-nomad.jpgAs we wind down Green Month here at ATLA and turn our focus towards Escapes, our focus for August, we found an item that bridges both themes. We fell in love with the Nomad Tent, a 160 square foot tent based on a yurt, a few weeks back at the Dwell on Design show...

Beautiful and eco-friendly, it speaks to the part of us that longs to toss it all in and live in tent in the middle of nowhere, catching and cooking our own food and living as one with Mother Nature, devoid of all possessions. Made with bamboo supports and eco-friendly WeatherMax, it's the first in a series of structures planned by Ecoshack founder, Stephanie Smith. Ecoshack, run on 5 acres in Joshua Tree, is a forum for creating green shelters, including the cocoon, a suspended sleeping bag we think would be the perfect accessory for our tent.

That is so amazingly beautiful. I could seriously live in a tent if it were that one. Wow.
