Does anyone know where I can get that Brooklyn poster that's framed in Katy's Tidy BK Home Office? I love it!

Hey, I'm Katy!! :)

I got the poster at the Brooklyn flea market. The seller was a guy who had found a bunch in his mother's basement (or somesuch story).

It's a lot like that New Yorker cover:

I wish I knew more about it! I'm doing a bit of clever googling, though. If I find anything, I'll report back :)

Thanks Katy! I am familiar with Saul Steinberg's covers, but given that I'm partial to Brooklyn, I excited to see this poster. What a great find! Let me know if you find anything ...

See, and here I didn't know anything about Saul Steinberg, heh. Google is my friend. ;)

It is I who owns the remaining "Brooklyn" posters; standard poster size, 4 color press (not crappy digital prints) and 110lb paper and printed in 1982 (the good old days of printing). They found there way into my hands when my mother, one of the artists and senior contributor, sold our childhood house in Brooklyn and where we were cleaning out the basement.

Every once in a while, when I get a hankering to see folks and have a burning desire to meet serious Brooklynites, I set up a table at the Brooklyn Flea to hawk my wears. My wears include these fine posters exclusively.

However, if you have a burning desire, they are also available at my wife's flower shop, Opalia Flowers, on Atlantic Avenue. Not only can you get a variety of seasonal flowers at Opalia, you can also find this one of a kind treasure. Ask for it by name.

Hope to see you all soon at the Brooklyn Flea as it is a fine event run by dedicated people.

Cheers.

Carzy331: I'm going to be going back to my old neighborhood this Saturday (sadly, work forced me to move away...). Any way we could arrange some sort of pick up at Opalia's? And how much?

Thanks!

Feel free to swing by Opalia Flowers (www.opaliaflowers.com) any time. That is where I keep my stash.
