We recall seeing this wallpaper a couple months ago in one of our magazines [Domino? we can't recall] and thought what a fantastic idea it was to be able to move photos around at will or put it in a child's room to "draw on the walls". We ran across it again, and again were really taken with the idea.
Available through Graham & Brown's site they gave this background to the paper:
Chris Taylor and Craig Wood are artists. They approached Graham & Brown with an interactive piece called "Frames"; a design that literally is made up of frames that the end user determines what goes in them.
The 'Frames' idea came about when the artists designed the wallpaper as part of a collection for an exhibition, 'Down on Paper' held at the IKON Gallery in Birmingham, England. They asked Graham & Brown if they would consider making it and they said "yes". The rest is history.
It might be nice as a one wall piece, perhaps in a hallway. $40.00 for a double roll which sounds pretty reasonable to us.
i love the frames wallpaper, but did anyone happen to see the paintables? they are AWESOME! i will be getting some for my insanely cheap yet insanely beautiful/huge 2BR apt in birmingham
