Marimekko Wall Hanging

If you're looking for a funky piece of art for a wall this might be your ticket the Marimekko Wall Hanging from CB2. At 57" x 79" it's a substantial piece and 100% cotton. There is something about the image that reminds us of the posters we had as a child that we could color in as we wished. Do you remember those? You could tape them to a door or a wall and sit for hours coloring in the little black and white image at our own disgression. Wondering if this could be an adult version...and a unique piece of art on it's own.

ive had this (on a canvas stretcher) for a year and my heart dropped when i saw it at cb2 :(

I actually made this two years ago by purchasing a 4x6 foot stretched canvas and the fabric "Hetkia Moments" from Textile Arts. I just pressed the fabric really well and neatly stapled it unto the canvas. It's huge and hangs in my livingroom along with two other stretched canvases that I made - one with a 3-dimensional fabric from Ikea the other a graphic fabric from a quilt shop. Now that it's being sold at CB2, It's time to change out the fabric for something else.
