While wine tasting over the weekend, we spotted this gorgeous room lined with a wall of mirrors and a wall of lime green silhouettes against a dark gray background. Upon closer inspection, we discovered these were not average silhouettes but...

...made out of felt! Each silhouette stood off the wall a bit with a cushion texture. Although we didn't have a chance to ask the proprietors their source for such a stunning project, we wonder if any of you have done a project like this - using different and interesting materials and textures to make silhouettes. Let us know!

Not my style, but the colors are very nice.

Maybe in a hall....but I don't think I would want a whole room with that many faces on it.

It's a bit like the Barney's store, where in the mens dressing rooms they have silhouettes with male names scrawled under them in pencil, then pithy descriptions.
Example:
Russell
is a gay black
midget golfer

This the tasting room of some of my friends, the Saarloos Family, located in Los Olivos. The Saarloos and Sons site is: http://saarloosandsons.com
The owner Keith and his wife, Heather and amazing and everything they do turns to gold. Their wine is excellent and the tasting room is beautiful-go visit if you are in the area, or even if you have to plan a trip. You won't be disappointed!

I love the idea of the framed mirrors.

I agree with placecard, reminds me of the fitting rooms at Barneys. Interesting at first but would get stale really quickly.

That's not felt....it's flocked wallpaper.
Clearly you were not raised in the 70's, LOL

Those mirrors look like they're taken straight from the Viceroy lobby.

There are stencils of silhouettes available on line, or you could make your own. Stencil them with natural coloured texture paste for a Wedgewood Jasperware effect.
