It's apparently a classic bit of design rebellion - Nest was doing this years ago. They had a smutty toile and a botanical that was marijuana leaves.
And let us not forget the 1970s, when everyone had those coffee mugs that showed a happy pattern of lots of rabbits or penguins or bears or whatever... and only upon closer inspection was it clear that the animals were getting very, very busy.
