I've always disliked screen windows and doors. Despite the welcome convenience of letting in fresh air without the insects that sometimes follow, the dull gray mesh screen can sure put a damper on any view. I've removed almost all the screens from our double hung windows in our apartment, leaving only a couple screens for windows in rooms without a view (not sure if E. M. Forster would approve).
But if I had to reinstall screen windows I'd consider these Roll-Away retractable window screens, a pretty self explanatory screen system that allows for an unobstructed view when a screen is not needed. We don't normally endorse non-commital relationships, but this seems like a good compromise of having screens...but not. Now if they only offered these with TruScene micro-fine stainless steel mesh.
