"In which the sacred heart was venerated as one of the numinous symbols of Osiris, the god of death and rebirth. We have no religious affiliations. Rather we embrace the universal language of symbols, and thus encourage you to interpret the Laboratory Lamp freely.
We turn the wick holder and bend the wire stand in house. The thick walled American lab glass is blown by Kontes Kimble in NJ. The packaging is all custom and lab appropriate. "

...a little on the fence about the lamp. It somehow reminds me of a human heart. Maybe I'm just weird that way. :)
This strikes me as a serious fire hazard. The lamp doesn't appear secure in the open looped wire end of the rickety stand.
I absolutely adore this, but I have a collection of Catholic Kitsch. This would fit right in.
I gave it 2 stars: it lost a star based on the high price.

Costly molotov to others.
I have owned one of these for a year (with many animals in the house) and have never had one single accident. The stand is actually very sturdy large gauge wire and the wick holder is rubber sealed to prevent any leakage.
As for the price I've researched lab glass in the event that this does ever break and it starts at $30. Throw in the handmade stand and wick holder, the kit with paraffin and fun antique lab packaging and it seems reasonably priced.
Can't speak for the copy, but it's a nice item that I hope will last a long time.
