A few months ago a reader asked for ideas to make lace hip in the nursery and we were reminded of it when we came across this beautiful dresser makeover using lace as a stencil.
This lovely dresser transformation is the handiwork of Lisa whose blog Recaptured Charm is very aptly titled. It's a simple, but brilliant idea that could be used in many applications in feminine nurseries or kids' bedrooms. In addition to furniture, we think this treatment could be amazing as a wall border.

I really do think this is a "hip" use of lace, bit I'm confused: why not just glue the lace to the dresser...?
This is pretty cool. I think gluing lace wouldn't look as good, but I liked the before dresser so much! hmmm
This looks much easier to me than glueing the lace. I absolutely love it! I'm thinking it might look cool as stripes on a headboard? Or what about lace doilies for polka dots?
