Jute rugs, antique wooden chests, raftered ceilings, striped wool blankets. Treverra Farm Cottage, a self-service guest house in Cornwall, is a sophisticated interpretation of the farmhouse look. Its "country chic" style somehow manages to feel traditional and modern at the same time.
In 2009, the cottage was renovated and expanded by Spencer Adams Architecture and Litchfield Design Interiors with Mackenzie Wheeler Architects. We love the way the design honors traditional English farmhouse architecture—whitewashed walls, stone and hardwood floors—while incorporating contemporary details like skylights, generous closets, and wall-mounted ceramic sinks.
This is a look that could translate well in a city apartment. If you're trying for this style at home, think about neutral walls, natural materials, and the occasional colorful textile. A few pitchers full of flowers won't hurt either.
Treverra Farm Cottage sleeps up to eight and is available for rental for £2,500 to £4,500. It sits on 14 acres with a pool and landscaped grounds.

So stylish and spartan. Very calming, relaxing and comforting. I wanna fill the place with fresh cut flowers and run barefoot through there with dripping popsicles, just to stir things up. Love the antiquity and the restoration.
Not my style but it's a beautiful home..love the old doors and original locks
This is really beautiful. Traditionally, "country" decor was spare in a way that seems very modern now. But the 80's excessive "country look" gave it a bad name. Thanks for posting this.
Beautiful. Would love to live here.
