When you find yourself with an average but inexpensive table fan, it might seem like there wouldn't be many options for improvement. Not the case! This project is a great example of thinking outside the box to find ways to dress things up affordably.

Dwellings by DeVore recently had a serendipitous thrifty experience when she realized that a lamp she had bought at Goodwill made a perfect base for a base-less fan she had bought for $7. The two happened to fit perfectly, and a coat of spray paint made them look like they'd always belonged together.
