Lamps Made From Playing Cards, Tape Measures, and Tickets

We've seen plenty of lamps made from recycled materials, but not quite like the lamps from designer Nick Sayers. His lamps are made with playing cards, tape measures, even coffee stirrers!

Nick Sayers is a professional graphic and web designer who upcycles common household objects into spheres, and then lamps. He creates spheres from zip ties, measuring tapes, cards, and a few other common objects. The idea is simple, but the math a bit more complex. Using small cuts, or interlocking shapes, he's able to create beautiful objects that also supply light.
