Inspired by the aerial views of farmland in the USA and Europe — and the tulip fields of the Netherlands, Austrian designer Florian Pucher has created the Land Carpet collection.
Similar to the Landscape Rugs by Liz Eeuwes Florian's rugs are limited edition and hand tufted of New Zealand wool.

WANT. wow. these are FANTASTIC!
I'm shocked no one's done this before, actually. But these are gorgeous. Florian's not bad, either.
Cool. I bet someone could DIY-it with Flor....
Oh man, that Europe one would be perfect for the nursery I'm planning. Except--I didn't see a price on the site, but I'm guessing it's more than I'd be willing to pay for a nursery rug. I like the DIY idea with FLOR, but the 3D texture of these rugs is a big part of the attraction for me, and I don't think you could come close to duplicating that.

These are fabulous.
irrigation circles would be awesome in carpet form!
These are beautiful.
Apparently the Sacramento International Airport has a much larger scale, more satellite-imagery-like one: http://www.gizmag.com/go/4219/picture/12476/
I like the abstractness of these rugs.
Beautiful!! I have always wanted to make a quilt like this. I live in the Midwest and have always admired the rolling hills of fields that look pieced-together, like a quilt...and like this.
I tried to find the price, but it's apparently in a non-convertible currency. Weird...but whatever...I'm sure it's well beyond most normal peoples' budget anyways. :(
gorgeous!
these are so cool!
