Living in a rental I don't really have the opportunity to remodel the kitchen that I currently have. If it were up to me I'd find the absolute biggest windows for my kitchen and bask in the sunlight all day while whipping up delicious treats. A girl can dream, right?
To satisfy my currently unfulfillable dream of a larger than life kitchen window I've found some inspirational kitchens with such a feature. I'm especially attracted to the Main Line house tour that features a giant palladium window. The home owners admit that they spend most of their time in the area and I certainly don't blame them. Here are some more favorites of mine:
• Home Economics: A Main Line Home Tour, Philadelphia Magazine
• Zoka's East Village "Open" House, Apartment Therapy
• Reinventing a 1795 Connecticut House, Country Living
• Small Kitchen, Big Surprise, Laurie Anna's Vintage Home
• Modern Classy Kitchens Furniture From Schiffini, Mabeslor
Do you dream of a large kitchen window?

That first photo melts my heart. God. I would live in the kitchen alone for those windows and do nothing but make food all day long.
LOVE.
My kitchen doesn't even compare to these but I do have a very large window above my sink looking out into my roses. It is one of the things that sold me. It really is so refreshing and peaceful, although now that im preggo, the heat from the sun makes me want to pass out sometimes :)
Oh, numbers 1 and 3 are killing me!!
My current kitchen looks out over a wash area leading into the weed-infested back yard. *sigh* Someday.
I'm absolutely envious of all those beautiful windows right now. Killer.
Two of the walls in my apartment kitchen are made of windows like the ones in #1! Although I'm looking to buy a house and none of the ones I've seen so far have very nice windows. If anyone in Madison, WI is looking to sublet an apartment, let me know...
Yeah, my kitchen isn't nearly as awesome as these, but like alicia13z, I have a large window in my kitchen that looks on to a huge english ivy wall. It's definitely one of the better features of my house. Of course, on the other side of the ivy wall is my neighbor's dog (who never gets walked or paid any attention to) and constantly growls and snarls at cars, people walking by, and the wind. Ah, well.
#1 #1 #1...sweet mother of...#1!!!!
Our kitchen is similar to #2. It faces east and south and is very bright. I love it most in the winter when the sun is low and shines throughout the house. I'm so depending on light, I'd rather live in a greenhouse if that was possible.
i *wish*! living in a hurricane zone, that simply isn't possible.
Love the windows in #1! I really like how the glass-front cabinetry in #4 played up the one window on that wall. It looks like the cabinets were built in front of a wall of windows... so very cool and very pretty.
