The late summer flora right now is overflowing with golden yellows (we're looking at you, goldenrod and wild sunflowers). The sky's a hazy blue giving way to gray evening storms. Here are some rooms whose color palettes remind us of these late summer days...

I love this time of year and have inadvertently chosen all fall colors in decorating my house. It translates well anytime of year, but at this time of year feels especially comforting.
I especially love picture #2. The blue walls really make the golds and greens more vibrant. I may need to consider adding some blue to my color scheme.
I love those chairs in the fourth picture looks like the Michael Taylor Designs Rowan chair, just upholstered differently..smashing color combo that wood with beautiful blue fabric. Paired nicely with the Platner table.
pesky ragweed has white or green flowers...goldenrod has great yellow flowers and blooms at the same time.
So beautiful...especially thefirst one!! Now I am inspired to add a bit of golden yellow to our brown and turquoise bedroom...very inspiring!
thanks, fbam - looks like the yellow weeds aren't responsible for allergies after all.
mmm this makes me want to add yellow into my black and white room!
Does anyone know where the headboard in the first photo is from? I've been looking for one just like it! Any help would be great!
Pretty...I've been meaning to incorporate that buttery yellow into my grey-and-muted-turquoise bedroom.
Late summer and autumn is my favorite time of the year. The richer colors.... the golds, reds and oranges are the colors I seem to be drawn to. Very warm and beautiful.
