We know what you're thinking: Isn't every home appliance already in 3D? Um, yeah. But this washing machine from Panasonic is so named because it employs their 3D Sensor Wash to make sure your loads are always fair and balanced...

3D Sensor Wash is a drum rotation speed control system with 3D acceleration sensors to ensure high performance clothes washing. Basically, it figures out how much your load weighs and the force with which it falls from the top to the bottom of the drum. One it has that information, it can figure out how fast to spin to make sure that your laundry stays moving around and you don't end up with a clunking unbalanced load stuck to the side of the drum.

It's already pretty energy-efficient, but they've designed it so the whole drum is set-in tilted to use less water.

Panasonic, who are just entering the washing machine game with this first model, will introduce the three models from March 2009 in seven European countries including Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and the United Kingdom followed by other European countries thereafter.

Here's to hoping this gizmo makes it's way to the States! Cheers!
