- What I Love About My Small Home:
- The sunlight pouring through the windows, the aged floors, and many more charms of living in a historical building. After 2 years here we are believers that small apartments are perfect for young newlyweds -- we are always within arm's reach of one another
- Biggest Challenge of Living in a Small Space
- Combining lives: his stuff, her stuff, and finding a place for it all as we build our life together. It's not always easy but vertical storage, pared down possessions, and considering one another before ourselves have gotten us this far. Now we have to figure out how to make room for our baby girl!

I Love the floors, the windows and that sink in the kitchen.
Nice!!!
I want that fish tank!!! :-D
What a lovely place! Where did you get that awesome rug in picture #3?!
I love the artwork in the second photo. Where is it from?
@Wandering Star: I think the suitcases are part of the decor. I like them -- they add to the vintage-y feel.
Ahh Shucks you are so kind, thanks for all sweet words. To answer some of your questions:
wandering star- yes we are procrastinators at unpacking but those suitcases are intentional. It's great additional storage for games, office supplies, and the perpetual craft project in the works.
KATMARIE- The rug is from Pier One a couple years ago, not the most original source but I fell in love.
TSE MOANA- The artwork is from a dumpster... My husband rescued them at the end of the school year, apparently that English teacher that was done with her unit on mythology.

I love this ...
I love the suitcases. What a brilliant idea for additional storage! And let me say, your pictures are really great, but your apartment is even more fabulous to visit!
That fish tank in an old TV is just way cool.
Oh so wonderful and unique style! I love it!...you've created an adorable kitchen..and so exciting to be adding a new baby girl to it all!
That fishtank is amazing! And I like the way you've created a separate space for the kitchen. Do you and your husband like to cook, and do you find it difficult to work in such a narrow space?
I love your space! So cozy and inviting. You've struck a marvelous balance of having many objects of interest and personality while maintaining a sense of spaciousness. I'm going to steal your suitcase-as-storage idea.
Love those mythology prints -- they appear to be nicely mounted but not framed, which I applaud. Full frame jobs are really overrated.
And I *adore* your kitchen.
