- What do you love about your bedroom?:
- My bedroom is so comfortable. The bed is a dream and every item in the room is useful or has a wonderful memory. The heart collage of photos is one of my favorite elements. I found the heart frame on the street and filled it full of the people I love.
- What are your tips for creating a beautiful, healthy and organized bedroom?
- Filling the room with wonderful belongings and keeping it clean are my tips. Maintenance is key to a comfortable room. I do a little tidying everyday so that it doesn't ever feel overwhelming. I need a retreat and a dirty room is no place for rest.
- In modern homes, bedrooms have become more than just a place to sleep; they can be a retreat, a home office, a library, a relaxation zone. What are some ways you make the most of your bedroom?
- Did you see the big TV?

I was on board until I saw the TV. Everything at that end looks cluttered to me. I do really like the color on the walls and your sentiment about the people you love.
I'm with LyonStill - for a moment there I thought I was looking at two different rooms.
Pretty paint color. What is it? Also, where did you get that nice ceiling light?
I wish we could see the headboard in a more head-on view.
Agree. From this angle, the headboard looks great.
You absolutely won me over with the first picture; the heavenly bed, the pretty side table, the wall color, the curtains--all look so deliciously inviting. But, yes, the second photo does seem like a very sharp contrast that didn't work for me. If the TV must be there, and of course lots of people have it there and it's just the thing, I would clear at least some of the stuff around it. But that's me, of course! The other pictures are lovely too, including the heart one.
Oh, and since you have such a nice sense of color and fabrics, maybe a large piece of fabric to cover the TV when it's not in use.
I think the easel tv stand is genius!
Did you use a blanket as a dust ruffle? That's genius! I can never find dust ruffles that I actually like.
I love this room. It looks like something that came together organically, not something that was purchase and slapped and just looks like a hotel room.
I am confused. Is having your bedskirt drape on the floor a thing now? I keep seeing it, and now am convinced it's more than just a segment of the population that cannot accurately measure the gap between their mattress and the floor.
Stunning! Just stunning! Organic and realistic! I love every moment you have in there. Plenty of places for the eye to rest and to play!
wow! it looks so cozy and comfortable! Sigh! i didnt get much sleep last night and that bed looks so inviting now:)
I had the same reaction as Lyonstill. Absolutely love the first picture with the light blue walls and the soft pink duvet, not to mention the little glitz from the crystals hanging off the lampshade.
I think this room is mostly great. The space with your TV and the wall behind it appears a bit noisy. I've seen the TV on an easel thing before on design blogs and it never really made sense to me. TVs usually make a room feel less organic, and I find that the TV should recede into the background and not be the centerpiece of a room, so to put it on display on an easel in my opinion brings more attention to it.. But I can see how you can use the easel as a decorative piece in some other way.
LOVE IT! I am in love with your colors, texture, and well, it looks like a place I'd like to retreat.
I wish I could tell you the color but my husband recycled all our paint cans one day. I made the ceiling light out of old linen napkins and vintage crystals.
But what would I clear away? It all holds so many great memories. My photography skills are part of the problem. The size of the room also made it difficult to photograph things in context with the surrounding space. Plus I do tend to pile on. I'm just too sentimental.
Thanks! It was my uncle's painting easel.
Thanks! It is a quilt I made into a dust ruffle. I like it puddled as it prevents my slippers from sliding under the bed.
Finally, a bedroom that actually looks like someone lives in it. A tad irreverent yet very stylish - I wouldn't change a thing.
I like the matching square frames. Any chance you recall where you got them?
Thanks, Monigor! Sorry- the frames were my mother-in-law's. I simply repurposed them.

A lousy photo that is closer to a head-on view.
Having things around you that really mean something to you is way more important than any "design rule"--as long as those things help you rest or at least don't hinder rest, then why not. Still, I'd love to see a softly colored piece of fabric on the TV.
From the foot of the bed to the wall looks like an early stage hoarder situation. :(
I like the view from the foot of the bed. The walls look fun and interesting. The TV is a little bit distracting but I like having a TV in the bedroom. Very pretty feminine & unique room.
