So thanks to my very helpful husband, our kitchen is finally (mostly) painted. He painted the upper cabinets and then took the girls for a full day while I took care of the walls. While I loved the creamy yellow, I'm excited to have a neutral backdrop to decorate around, and the space feels so much bigger thanks to the white upper cabinets!
I also painted the adjoining entryway the same light gray (Behr's Silver Drop). It's a very subtle difference (which is more noticeable in person) from the bright white trim. I've been working on the trim and door during nap times, so that's been slow going.
Although most of my painting and shopping is finished, I still have to apply a coat of poly to the cabinets, re-hang the cabinet doors, install new light fixtures, and decorate all before next week! I wanted to have new hardware on the cabinets for the reveal as well, but it's just so darn expensive to get anything nice so I'm going to hold off for now.
Wish me luck on my giant to-do list! I think I'm in over my head a bit, but I'm thrilled to have gotten so much done in such a short period of time. Normally this amount of work would have taken me a few months instead of a few weeks. Fingers crossed that my daughters' nap times sync up this week so I have something to show you!
