- What I Love About My Small Home:
- I love everything about my home - the colors, the furniture, the floor, everything! Almost every piece of furniture I have are hand me downs from family or from dumpster diving excursions, so they all hold special little memories.
- Biggest Challenge of Living in a Small Space
- Storage. But I suppose that is no real big surprise. There is only one closet, but thankfully it is pretty big considering the size of the apartment. Shelving and my hope chest (the chest the TV is sitting on) both help with that issue.

Looks cute. A point for the BB King poster.
The second photo won't load for me. All the others are fine.
Cute. Kitchen needs *something*.
I wondered why the bed was directly in front of the door . . . until I looked again and saw the A/C. Oh, the joys of an Austin summer ;-)
Fun space, love all the color.
I think is great. I tend to prefer as far as this competition is concerned very small places as they are more difficult to decorate.
The blue walls of the living room make me feel claustrophobic. I hope bowser appreciates the historic placemat under his/her food.
Austin has the cutest places - so glad I will soon be living there too!
Very cute, color done right, bright, airy- but I really would have preferred a shot of the apartment from the opposite wall of the living room than the picture of your cat's food.
Kudos for making this space special with found and hand-me-down objects. Love the bedspread!
the blue walls make me feel claustrophobic, too. or maybe it's the other colors in that space contrasting with such a bold tone...
i commend you on creating a cozy home in spite of an awkward floorplan. your bedding is adorable, and i like your other little decorations. my only suggestion is to hang the bike somewhere (wall or ceiling). it would look cool, and would make your bed area seem like more of a bedroom.
crap- this *is* a super small space but you have made it adorable.
I like the blue walls, I think they are cozy and it must feel like waking up in a big blue embrace.
The fabrics/textiles are beautiful- I particularly like the quilt.
nice job-kudos!
I would’ve liked to seen the two pics of the shelf & dog dishes used to highlight your space.
thanks for all the feedback! check out my blog: http://gogololos.tumblr.com/

Love love love it!!!!! Especially your kitchen and living room!
Overall good, but it needs softening... better lighting and definitely window treatments.
Very cute!! I love the bright colors in contrast with the white walls.Your layout is very similar to the apartment that I will be moving into in a couple of weeks. Plus, I was wanting to paint the walls white and now I know it won't look like a hopsital with the right colorful accents. Your place gives me so much hope for mine. Thanks!!!
I think you did a great job with a very awkward space!
I love the bright blue wall.
So cute and colorful!
What is the wall color in the living space?
If Lauren is following the comments, can you tell me who did that painting of the many-moustached man in your living room? Any leads on where I can find one like it (if it's a stretched canvas poster). Thanks!
Itsallabouttheg- the color of the living space is a turquoise
Laila - I actually made that! it is on a canvas, and if you're interested I would love to make you one! my email is laurenkathsmith@gmail.com
@ Laila - you should check out this fellow http://philintheblanks.com/blog/

Is that Empress Teal blue?? I have that color on my walls and I LOVE it.
