Whatever shade you choose in the vast colorway between red and blue, the purple family definitely creates a memorable impact. For us, the most successful rooms in this category use other colors within the space to cut the sweetness and keep it from being too grapey. A green chair or an orange ladder can make all the difference. Purple need not be gender specific, either. For a boy, try going dark or bright. Baby girls might enjoy lavender as an alternative to the popular pink. On a personal note: This was a fun collection for me because we just painted our own (adult) bedroom "Lavender Haze." It's surprisingly calming and gorgeous with greys and yellows. I was nervous about it at first, but glad to have made the leap. Wanting for more? See last year's purple rooms here. (Images: 1.
