Powerful color for your home. When Alayne Patrick was opening Layla many years ago, she asked us for help (we had a friend in common). She didn't need it. Alayne's sense of style and attention to detail are so refined that we had little more to offer and, instead, learned a great deal from her. Her shop, Layla, is an exquisite blend of home textiles and clothing for the world shopper...

A longtime film stylist, Alayne's shop is the fruit of her passion and her travels, conveying the warmth, color and simplicity that comes from mixing styles of north and south. While clothing dominates, you will find pillows, throws, artwork and textiles that will add pop and life to your home (or to a friends). (Via Domino)

After living 'round the way for years, I finally stopped in during the holidays. It's the size of a postage stamp but everything is really pretty.
You should probably point out it's just off Atlantic Ave on Hoyt Street or people could easily miss it.
cute shop, but why the curtains in the front windows? it
seems like a barrier and blocks the view to the beauty inside...
i bought a beautiful erica tanov coverlet here with matching shams recently. very helpful staff. a bit pricey but just browsing all the bright punchy colors can lift your mood!
a beautiful (if pricey) selection. does anyone know where her acrylic rolling shelves are from?
