Hearing all of the (hilarious) advice readers contributed to suggestions for getting your toddler's teeth brushed armed us with ideas to try on our own son. When we first spotted this Learn to Brush set we thought it was mommy-(or daddy)-and-me matching brushes - cutesy and unnecessary. But when we looked closer we thought...hmmm, that's kind of cool.
The Learn to Brush set has a long-handled brush for you and your child to hold at the same time (with a small brush head for their mouth). Once they've got the hang of it they can use the small brush all on their own. Clever.
At 20 months our son somewhat tolerates us brushing his teeth, but when given the opportunity to try himself he just chews the heck out of it without any real brushing. Our own toothbrush is a bit big to use with him so the long-handled/small headed brush here makes a lot of sense.
Truthfully, we probably wouldn't pay shipping for this item even though it's a very reasonable $6 for the set (less than the cost of two toothbrushes at our drug store), but if we saw it in a store we might pick it up.
Has anyone tried the Learn to Brush?
