Leather chairs and sofas are often associated with the Ralph Lauren-esque faux pioneer lodge look. Think big, overstuffed and masculine. Alternatively, one may think of a cheesy 1980s bachelor pad where a sleek leather sofa is paired with a metal and glass coffee table and an oversized vase or two. But think again.
Here are some examples of leather at its best: soft golden brown leather chairs and couches. Some are weathered and informal and others stylish and tailored. But they are all gorgeous.

I note the BEAUTIFUL wing chair has a cloth seat cushion. My sister spring for full, rounded leather sofa, and whenever anyone sits on it, they start out in a posture-perfect upright position, but after a bit they find their butt has slowly, like a glacier, slid inexorably down so it's hanging over the edge with their backs flat on the seat and their heads bent up at the 90 degree angle that was meant for their waist...Maybe I exaggerate, but not much.
Should say "my sister sprang," not "spring." WHEN will I learn to edit before posting???
Interesting to see how each of these was paired up with white walls and lighter tones. The hue is such a great Earth tone I guess it could get lost in a different color scheme... Nice to see natural colors given a chance to "pop" instead of having to rely on bright oranges or reds or neons... :)

gemini2 - Sling chair form 1st image in second row is the Paulistano chair, which you can get at DWR...go see it...sit in it...fall in love. Then walk away weeping like I did because all in it's about 2 grand. Beautiful though.
