LED Elica Lamp Dims and Brightens with Touch

Yesterday we were talking to a fellow juror about Steve Job's reductionist's penchant for minimal design (yes, we've been called into serve until next week, so we're using state gov't wi-fi) and how if given the opportunity, he loves removing an extra buttons, dials, levers or ports. in many ways, Brian Sironi's LED-illuminated Elica Lamp abides by this same design philosophy of less is more

Sironi won the iF product design GOLD award 2010 and a Special Award of jury "Il Design dello Stupore" of Contest "Young & Design 2009" with his aluminum LED desktop lamp, its most notable feature being it's dimming/brightening adjustment which relies upon users turning the lamp's arm to increase or decrease the amount of light. The modernist sculptural Elica Lamp is available in two sizes, but currently no pricing is available.
