Have an even greener tree this year by making the switch to LED lights. They'll use about 90% less energy which is good for the earth and your pocketbook.

We haven't found these for sale in our own neighborhood yet, but we have our eyes open for them. One online source we've found is HolidayLED. You can read more about the benefits of switching to LED holiday lights on their website, but here are some highlights:
- In addition to using less energy, they'll also last 50,000 hours, about 10 times longer than standard incandescent lights.
- The average tree of lights will cost $9 for 30 days whereas LED lights will cost only about .90 cents!
- LED lights will also remain cool to the touch which is safer around children and also makes them significantly less of a fire hazard.
- Now through December 20th, HolidayLED will recycle your incandescent holiday lights for you (find out more here).
