The solution is not to eat for several months, if necessary, so that one can get both a MacBook Air and a fully equipped MacBook Pro for the real work.

I have had a Thinkpad that, while grey, is better for me and the type of work I do, fits my finger spread and . And my college roomie who LOVES Mac has to totally baby her Mac, whereas I've just about drop kicked my Thinkpad and it STILL WORKS! It's like a Volvo vs a dandelion.
