Every time I walk into my sons' room it feels happy and fun. I have to admit, we went bonkers with the color orange, and we love it.
We were looking for furniture with clean and modern lines, but we definitely did not go minimalist with the patterns and prints in the room. We were pretty appalled at the prices of modern nursery furniture, and instead embraced the challenge of finding great inexpensive pieces that we could modify. A little vision and some orange paint gave the cribs and changing table/dresser an amazing transformation! People can't believe we got them from Wal-Mart and IKEA.
We did splurge on the Eames rocker, and decided that chair would be with us forever so it was worth it. The artwork came from eBay, Design Public & Eboy. The "Whaley" skateboard deck was one of my favorite finds on Etsy, and added a little something unexpected to the wall. Some of the patterns in the room are by designers Orla Kiely, Alexander Girard and Marimekko. We hope you enjoy their room!

The last photo of the boys sleeping is just plain precious. We have orange in my son's room and i just love it. Great job!
Love that dresser! And yes, sweet photo of the boys. Always nice to see the children in their rooms :)
That last photo is so sweet!!
This is a great room... love all the details.
Are those crib bumpers on the railings in the third photo? If so, great idea for using them safely!
I love the colors! Also the art and the lines! Please tell me the pillows, bumpers and stuffed animals in the crib are for photography only.
Well don't you have a couple of cuties!!?? I don't think I've ever seen anyone pics of their little ones in a tour. What a beautiful surprise. So cuuuuute!
I think the room rocks and those funky 'monster' (?) pictures are too funny.
Best of luck with your boys.
Where's the Hollywood print from?
Great nursery! It's a room your boys can enjoy for years to come.
@ DOLCIB: Oh, I do hope the pillows, bumpers and stuffed animals are fair trade, organic, shade grown, not tested on animals, and gender neutral from employee-owned/union/local (within 100 miles, of course) companies.
Ok, I did laugh out loud, Earthy Cruncher.
I think this room is a great example of color paired with white walls. And the boys are simply adorable.
@ Earthy Cruncher: thank you so much for your comment, I laughed lout loud too. That was fun.
I love that room too, it's so happy without being overstuffed. Plus, it looks really kid-friendly. Pleasing for adults, pleasing for children: that's a perfect score in my book ! (and I love the orange).
I won't comment on how cute the boys are... thank you for including them, they are precious and the photograph(er) is amazing.
Thanks for the comments everyone!
@DOLCIB: Not to worry, I can assure you we have a very child-proof and safe environment, and our boys are happy and healthy.
@BELLABEEBOO: We got the poster from "eBoy" - here is the link:

I absolutely love this nursery! The most important question – one weighing on every Eboy lover's mind – is WHERE did you get that frame? I've been searching for months to find a frame for that exact poster but no one carries European A0 sizes.
